Resolving PP! Errors and Updating the Product Profile Files

Overview

How to update your LightRule Appliances Product Profile File, which resolves any PP! bang errors in the Diagnostics table. You may find these when you have added new product to an older Digital Lumens install. Note that Product Profiles stopped being updated in the late 2010's, so some PP! errors may not be resolvable.

Update Product Profiles

Warning
Please note, these Product Profiles require LightRules version 3.1 or greater. If using an older version and getting PP! errors, they cannot be resolved.
Alert
The downloaded Product Profiles file is a zip file. The fixtures_10##.xml will need to be unzipped from it before it can be used. Double-click on the *.zip to extract it.

  1. Under Admin, click Product Profile
  2. Click choose file, and select the file 'fixtures_10##.xml' that you just downloaded
  3. Click Upload
  4. Wait five minutes, navigate to Diagnostics. The error should be resolved
Alert
Note: Fixtures listed in the LightRules Diagnostics page with unknown (0) listed in the Product column and PP! in the far-right column have not been successfully sync'd in Commissioner.  Fixtures with unknown (0) listed in the Product column do not contain product code data in the map file.  The solution is to re-sync the fixtures in Commissioner and then upload the map file to LightRules.
